“Sometimes it’s the people no one imagines anything of who do the things that no one can imagine”

As the first-place winner of the Lucasfilm and Autodesk sponsored 'Design Your Own Droid' contest, I had the opportunity to work with Autodesk to create this one-of-a-kind droid for the Star Wars universe.

I am working on a personal project to recreate a 1:6 scale engine assembly of a Star Wars Y-Wing. Using engineering practices and various images, I'm aiming to make it mildly functional. The model has around 1,400 parts, including 3D-printed components, and documentation, and it measures around 9.50" in diameter by 32.25" long.

I was responsible for the design and documentation of a frame structure to hold six 150kW solar inverters and held the all cable racks needed for power cables and ethernet wiring. This effort was for a 12MW solar facility where 13 of these frames were manufactured and installed in the field which required them to be bolted to an engineered slab and earthquake-proof to a 5.5 magnitude quake.
